Why Use a CO₂ Degasifier?
CO₂ degasifiers are a form of air stripper, specifically optimized for removing dissolved carbon dioxide from water. How Do CO₂ Degasifiers Work?
At the heart of our CO₂ degasifier is a vertical packed tower. Water enters from the top and flows downward over structured or random packing media. Simultaneously, a small amount of air is blown upward through the base of the column.
The high surface area of the packing allows efficient gas transfer, letting the carbon dioxide escape from the water into the air phase. Key factors influencing efficiency include liquid distribution, airflow rate, and packing design.
